We’re in the middle of our Virtual Lobby Week and we’re asking you to keep those e-mails flowing to your Members of Congress in support of telehealth.
Your colleagues will be on Capitol Hill Tuesday, April 4 to ask Congressional leaders to include respiratory therapists in any telehealth legislation that is introduced into this Congress. We are also asking Congress to include language in the FY 2018 Labor-HHS Appropriations Report that would task the Medicare program to conduct an analysis of COPD claims data and report back to Congress on the findings which will help demonstrate the clinical expertise and value respiratory therapists bring to improving their patients’ health outcomes in a variety of settings.
The more e-mails these Members have before the RTs “Hit the Hill” the stronger the message will be to Congress to support our legislative agenda. So gather your co-workers, family, friends, patients, and others, and help bring the RT message to the Congress.
Follow the “action” on Hill Day from the Virtual Lobby Week page by reading the tweets from RTs who will be making those Hill visits.
