Tandem Therapy is a simple, cost effective solution for simultaneous lung expansion and airway clearance combining the advantages of both the AEROBIKA® and VersaPAP® devices.
The AEROBIKA® device provides Oscillatory Positive Expiratory Pressure or OPEP. This helps stent open the airways allowing the oscillations to assist with the removal of secretions. The VersaPAP® device uses pressurized air to help maintain positive airway pressure throughout the breathing cycle. This allows for a larger deeper inhaled breath as well as positive pressure on exhalation to keep the airways open.

How It Works
On inhalation, the VersaPAP® device helps the user take a deeper breath in. This in turn allows for an extended exhalation through the AEROBIKA® OPEP device, maximizing the benefit of oscillations.
Tandem Therapy is the first FDA cleared OPEP and PAP device combination.
It is a quiet, gentle option that optimizes lung expansion and airway clearance.
How To Use
- Remove the mouthpiece from the AEROBIKA® OPEP device and replace with the front of the VersaPAP® device (the part with the manometer gauge).
- Insert the backpiece of the VersaPAP® device onto the back of the AEROBIKA® OPEP device.
- Securely connect the supplied tubing to the backpiece air supply outlet and the other end to the flow meter.
- Set the flow meter as instructed and have the user inhale deeply, then exhale for 3 – 4 times longer than on inhalation. Use the manometer gauge to adjust the flow or resistance to maintain a pressure between 15 – 20 cm H2O.
